5 Ways to know if its True Love -
Wondering if you’ve just met the perfect match? Here are some guidelines to help you decide if it’s true love. After several dates, you feel you’ve found the perfect person. This is your dream mate, the one who will stand by you through thick and thin. You’re ready to tie the knot at last.
But is it love? Or is it a cheap imitation, like infatuation, lust, or even simple companionship? Here are a few things to consider as you make the ultimate life-changing decision:
-
Do you enjoy looking at the person or talking to the person more? Both are important to a mature relationship, but if you find yourself fixated on physical appearance, attracted to your mate because of face, figure, or form, you may be taking a superficial look at your loved one. On the other hand, you don’t want to be taken in by flattery or false statements. If your significant other is all talk and no action, that can be a warning sign to drop the relationship before you end up with one broken promise after another. A balance of physical and mental attraction is a healthy signal.
-
Are you willing to wait to make the relationship work? For example, if your mate pushes you to do things you don’t feel comfortable with, can you firmly say no? Will your response be handled respectfully and with patience? It goes both ways, too. Are you willing to wait on your partner to get more serious when he or she is ready, or are you demanding more interaction now? Can you wait to marry until the other person finishes school or are you pushing to live together first? Patience is an important virtue associated with successful, long-term relationships.
-
Do you support each other by anticipating and meeting needs? For example, if you need to work extra right now to pay off debt before getting married, does your mate understand that the situation is temporary and willingly wait for you to put in the extra hours at your job, rather than complain about your absence? If the person has a list of errands to run before the two of you can get together, do you offer to help?
-
Are you friends? Companionship lasts much longer than ardor, generally speaking. People in their 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s may lose some of their physical spontaneity, but they maintain a quest for fun and a shared life until the end. Do you laugh together? Enjoy similar activities? Share each other with friends and family? Or do you expect your perfect mate to spend all free time with you exclusively?
-
Do you want what’s best for this person, or do you want what this person can do to help you? For example, if your mate has the chance to get a wonderful job in another city, are you willing to pull up stakes and move, or will you expect the job opportunity to get tossed aside for you? Love means putting the other person’s needs ahead of your own, even when that involves sacrifice. While blind agreement to any difference of opinion is unrealistic and unreasonable, a thoughtful discussion of what is better for each of you individually as well as both of you as a couple needs to take place. Loving another person involves self-sacrifice and compromise. If you are attracted to someone for whom you are unwilling to be patient and to share all parts of your life, you may have a lot of work to do or disappointment to deal with after the wedding. Take time now to assess your relationship with these and other factors to see if you can make a life that could last fifty years or more with the person of your dreams. Because when you wake up, your mate will still be there.

And, although living alone in a new city or town can be a challenging experience, it also means you need to be more careful about safety. These are the 10 rules required to abide by to stay safe.
-
Keep personal information personal -
Do not give out your mobile number or address to strangers. This thwarts unwanted visits or calls from people with dubious motives. Request to be de-listed from bank directories and club lists.
-
Answering the doorbell? Stay alert -
A peephole is a must, as is a security chain attached to the door. Home deliveries should be attended to at the door, so keep your money ready before opening it. Apply the same rule to ALL strangers.
-
Observe your surroundings -
When choosing a home to rent, make sure the path to your home is well lit. Report non-functional streetlights in your society and ensure that fused bulbs in your building are replaced instantly. Dark places can encourage crime, so watch out.
-
Be an alert traveller -
I never wear headphones while travelling late; it cuts me off from the outside world and may give the impression that I am not alert, making me seem vulnerable.
- If you are using public transport, avoid discussing personal details on the phone. Be watchful about being followed and take a self-defence course if possible. While driving alone, lock yourself up in the car and don’t ever give lifts to strangers. Bipin Doshi, an executive producer with Sahara One who often travels late, has a useful tip: “Don’t let the cab driver take a ’shortcut’ through unknown lanes and be more careful if he has been chatty along the way.”
- Ruchika Agarwal, an art director who has been living in Mumbai on her own says, “I never share taxis with strangers at night and always keep my cell phone charged while on the move. I also carry pepper spray. I may sound paranoid, but I don’t there’s anything wrong with being concerned for your safety.”
If a situation arises, remember the eyes are the most vulnerable part of the body, so attack a predator there. The neck and knees are the next two sensitive areas. You may be weaker than your predator but, if you make some smart moves, you can escape.
-
Keep friends, colleagues and family informed -
Make sure they all have your home address. Keep a friend’s number on speed dial. If possible, alert one or two friends about your late night schedule so they can raise an alarm if they can’t reach you for a while. If you are travelling out of town, keep your family and friends informed, and call them when you get back.
-
Secure your home -
Make sure to lock your door before stepping out, even if it is for just five minutes. Get a good branded lock and fix new ones when moving into a new place (with the permission of the landlord, of course). This will ensure that previous tenants can’t sneak in.
-
Be careful with your keys -
Keep car and house keys separate. I make it a point never to give my bunched house and car keys to valet parking attendants at clubs. These keys can easily be duplicated, while your address can be obtained from your car’s licence plate. Also, while duplicating your house keys, stand and get it done yourself instead of coming back to pick it up later. Ensure the key-maker is not making two sets. Do not hide keys under the doormat, over the ledge of the door or in the garden, and never leave them with security guards at your housing society.
-
Hiring house help? -
When you move into a new place, do not hire the first maid who walks into your house or one willing to charge the least money. Talk to the neighbours if possible. Hiring a maid referred by a trusted neighbour could be your best bet. It is also a good idea to register her details with the nearest police station.
-
If you get locked out -
Keep a duplicate set of keys with a friend who lives nearby. You could also keep a pair in your office drawer, which must be kept locked. If your landlord lives nearby, you can borrow his or her copy for an emergency, but that means you need his or her number on your cell phone.
-
Going out of town? -
Shut all windows and doors, switch off all lights and electrical appliances. You could consider keeping the lights at the entrance on, to illuminate possible hiding places around your house. Avoid leaving keys behind with neighbours not well known to you. The bottom line is, be smart and you stay safe.

Is it the salad itself or the dressing used and the way it is presented that makes the dish more appealing? The analogy, and the answer, are apt when it comes to discussing a resume as well.
The perfect resume must excel in both content and format. Spruce your resume with these simple, effective tips and you will definitely get those interview calls.
What a resume is not -
Think from a recruiter’s point of view -
Your potential employer may not have enough time on his or her hands to read a 10-page masterpiece, so ensure your resume does not extend beyond a couple of pages. Leading newspapers have realised not all their readers have the time to read each and every article, which is why you see the present trend of using summary boxes for long-winded articles.
When you draft your resume, think from a recruiter’s point of view. Provide information that a prospective employer needs to know and not the kind of information you want him/ her to read.
An oft-quoted line amongst book critics is that Bill Clinton’s autobiography, My Life, was a 1,000-page book that had everything in it except what people really wanted to know. Keep this in mind when you are drafting your resume.
The purpose of a resume -
A resume or curriculum vitae is a window to you, your personality and your skill sets. Its raison d’etre is to convince a recruiter that you deserve to be called for an interview. It should present you in the best possible light and convince a prospective employer that you can add value to the company.
It should tantalise enough to make an employer pick up the phone and dial your number. Your resume should not simply inform; it should also excite a would-be employer.
The resume can also act as a sample of your skills. If done well, it can show how you can organise a large amount of data in a few words. It can also showcase your skills if you plan to opt for a career in designing, advertising or copywriting.
Summary -
Here are points you must definitely include:
-
Experience in your profession -
Give valuable insights; for example, if you are in the advertising industry, you could mention the big players and important names you have worked with.
-
Skills gained in the field -
Apart from skills you are expected to gain in your field of work, do highlight skills you may have picked up as extras. For example, if you are a teacher, your expected skills would include your command over the language concerned, the ability to handle students and your knowledge about the subject concerned.
However, if you are also involved in organising workshops for teachers, you can also mention your ability to organise events and liaison effectively.
-
General skills -
This could include interpersonal skills, a knowledge of computers, etc. If you know computer packages apart from MS Office, such as Photoshop and Adobe page maker, and if you know how to make a Powerpoint presentation, do mention it. Many recruiters are on the look out for personnel who can multi-task.
-
Accomplishments in concrete terms -
Mention successful projects that you have handled/ been part of.
Focus on career progression, especially if you have been promoted in a short space of time.
If you have won any award or citation such as Best Employee Of The Month, mention it; this will present you in a positive light.
-
Academic record -
Give your record in reverse chronological order, mentioning your most recent qualification first.
Packaging and content -
Packaging is as important as content — both should go hand in hand.
-
Your name, address, telephone number and e-mail address should lead your resume.
-
The format you use should be consistent. Do not use too many stylistic fonts and don’t change the font size too often.
-
The first impression is the last impression, so the first few lines must be really impressive. List about three to four major skills and two achievements in the first summary section. The qualities you focus on should be compelling, not generalised.
-
Using a job objective as a starting point is a good focal point. Here is an example:
Job objective: Senior-level assignments in the area of logistics and supply chain management in the Office Automation, IT/ Telecom industry in a dynamic organisation.
-
What a prospective employer really wants to know is what you can do for them. Instead of just listing your achievements, try and tailor your resume to the needs of the company concerned. It may simply mean changing a few lines here and there on a resume you have already created.
-
Don’t be too humble. You have to sell yourself. Nobody else is going to do it for you. Give concrete achievements. For example, if you increased sales by six percent or created a database of clients, mention it instead of making generalised statements like ‘used problem-solving skills’ or ‘created aggressive marketing strategies’ that do not speak of actual results.
-
If you have progressed up the ladder in a particular company, you need to point this out. For example, if you joined as a trainee and were then promoted to a managerial level within two years, mention it instead of simply saying you are a manager.
What to avoid -
-
Lousy spellings are a real put-off. Talk about your career prospects instead of your ‘carrier’ prospects.
-
Standardise your language. Use either American English or British English, not a sprinkling of both.
-
Don’t exaggerate your skills. It may get you the job, but you will have difficulty retaining the post if you cannot deliver.
-
Don’t talk about unrealistic goals: ‘I want to progress from a cub reporter to a reporter independently handling a political beat’ is realistic, while ‘I aim to be editor of the newspaper soon,’ is highly unrealistic. Happy job hunting!

“A marriage is not when the ‘perfect couple’ comes together. It is when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences.” — Dave Meurer
The above quote contains a quintessential truth: no marriage is perfect, and each couple has to take proactive efforts in order to have harmony between themselves.
Let us now focus on them in depth.
Self-esteem issues -
- If one of the spouses has a low self-esteem, it can reflect on the marriage in a number of ways: the spouse may perceive the marriage as an unequal match, may feel unworthy of the partner’s love.
- And, consequently, put up with the partner’s undesirable behaviour. Over time, this creates a sense of dissonance in the marriage and builds mistrust and resentment.
- Increasing your self-esteem cannot happen overnight. It requires concerted effort. It will also require the support of your spouse and other family members.
- Start appreciating the good traits in yourself. Learn to look at situations objectively rather than simply assume that everything is your mistake. Try and be assertive when you feel something is not really your fault.
Problems confiding -
The inability to confide can be a source of major discord in a marriage.
A marriage is considered the most intimate of relationships, and if you feel unable to open up and confide to your spouse, it will not only leave you feeling incomplete, it will create resentment, dissatisfaction and frustration in the spouse.
Do ask yourself why you are not able to confide. Is it a personality trait? Is there something about your spouse that stops you from confiding? Clarify in your mind the reason for your reticence and try to tackle it head on.
Intimacy crisis -
All marriages go through crises. It is how the couple responds to those crises that is crucial.
A couple might get along very well with each other. But if they cannot cope with a crisis in a mature manner, as a team, the very structure of the marriage gets weakened.
True, crises like death in the family, infertility, financial disaster can be immense personal challenges to an individual and call for tremendous coping strategies.
But if you attempt to deal with crises together, you will realise that coping becomes far more bearable and you can derive from each other’s strengths.
Poor conflict resolution skills -
Conflicts happen in every marriage. But some couples are unable to deal with them in a mature and reasonable manner.
As a result, minor irritants get highlighted and small problems are blown into large ones. Conflict thus escalates and goes beyond the coping resources of the couple.
To avoid such a scenario, a couple must always remain vigilant as to whether the conflict is getting out of hand.
It is alright to have disagreements and fights, as long as you are eventually able to resolve the deadlock. But if you find that you are getting into a situation where neither of you is willing nor able to back out, it is important to take time out.
Decide to come back to the point of conflict after giving it some respite. And, perhaps, you will have a different perspective.
Talk out your disagreements. And, in some situations, agree to disagree while finding a compromise solution.
Lack of sharing -
-
This aspect is usually experienced by women, many of whom feel that husbands do not contribute to sharing the home responsibilities as much as they should.
-
This leads to feelings of being taken for granted, feeling stressed out in an attempt to balance home and work.
-
This is expressed through caustic comments, nagging and irritability, which gives rise to more difficult problems.
-
Women need to have a clear and frank discussion with their husbands regarding sharing of household responsibilities.
-
If you are a career woman, it is all the more important that you have the support of your husband and family.
-
Most husbands do not want their wives’ careers to suffer. It is just that they are not perceptive enough to realise that they are not supporting their wives by not being actively involved in sharing some of the household responsibilities.
-
Clarifying this with them in a calm and rational manner will make them aware of the situation. And they will at least begin to make some attempts.
This is not to say that they will be positive about wanting to tackle chores overnight. But they will have at least developed some sensitivity toward the situation!

Cynthia Ann Crawford was born February 20, 1966, in De Kalb, Illinois. Cindy’s big break stemmed from a lucky meeting she had with a newspaper photographer when she was 16 years old. During their chance encounter, the photographer insisted on taking a picture of Cindy, who was pollinating corn at the time. The photo and the positive feedback surrounding Cindy’s photogenic talents were enough to convince her to quit her summer job and take up modeling.
Following two summers of modeling with Elite Model Management in Chicago, the all-American beauty decided to focus on expanding her mindset rather than her portfolio. Specifically, Cindy traded in the glamorous life a model (at least temporarily) to study chemical engineering at Northwestern University on scholarship.
The former high school valedictorian pulled off the same exceptional grades in college as in high school, but she didn’t stick around long enough to see where a degree in engineering would have taken her as she left school in order to pursue a full-time modeling career. After working for photographer Victor Skrebneski in Chicago and becoming a success, Cindy took her supermodel assets to New York City in 1986.
To no great surprise, it didn’t take long for Cindy to establish herself as a model. After two years, she was walking down catwalks for the biggest fashion designers and posing as a cover girl for fashion magazines. She had become one of the first to enter the elite group of original supermodels, along with models Naomi Campbell, Claudia Schiffer and Linda Evangelista, and she had the salary to prove it.
In 1988, Cindy made more history as the first modern supermodel to appear in Hugh Hefner’s mag. Her Playboy spread not only impressed men around the world, but it lead to her 6-year stunt as host for MTV’s House of Style.
Always the entrepreneur, Cindy launched a series of swimsuit calendars and fitness videos, which were both tremendously successful. Her business savvy also came in handy when Naomi Campbell, Elle MacPherson and Claudia Schiffer invested in the Fashion Cafe chain, while Cindy saw potential in the then lucrative Planet Hollywood.
With contracts for Pepsi, Kay Jewelers and, most notably, Revlon, Cindy and her company, Crawdaddy Inc., began to see the fruits of her name, reputation and beauty. Always one to take risks, Cindy decided to pose for a different kind of cover shoot for Vanity Fair in 1993, posing with the recently “outed” K.D. Lang.
Named the planet’s highest paid model by Forbes magazine in 1995, Cindy set out on more business ventures with her book, Cindy Crawford’s Basic Face: A Makeup Workbook.
She even ventured into the movies (albeit unsuccessfully), in the 1995 film Fair Game, co-starring William Baldwin.
Her personal life has been nothing short of exciting. In December 1991, Cindy and Richard Gere were married after a 4-year courtship. Although People named the pretty woman and Pretty Woman star the Sexiest Couple Alive, the couple divorced after 3 years of wedded (and sexually questionable) bliss.
After allegedly being romantically linked to Robert De Niro and Val Kilmer, Cindy finally became Mrs. Rande Gerber in 1998. Proof of the consummation of the relationship came with the birth of Cindy’s children, Presley in 1999 and Kaya in 2001.
With the combination of her new responsibilities at home and the fashion world’s obsession with stick-thin models, Cindy has opted to stay out of the limelight and concentrate on her family and non-profit pursuits. For instance, Cindy is a huge supporter of leukemia charities (her brother Jeff dies from the disease) and donates proceeds from her products to fighting cancer.
On the whole, Cindy has proven that a supermodel needs a lot more than beauty to make it in the catty world of fashion; brains and personality are also required — and a million-dollar mole doesn’t hurt either.

Twelve Valuable Steps to Raise Your Self Esteem - As adults, we can choose the messages we accept or reject. As Eleanor Roosevelt said, “No one can make you feel inferior without your permission.” Building high self-esteem is a process, not something you can develop overnight,” says Jeffrey Keller. “Yet, I believe every person has the capacity of high self-esteem. The question is, are you ready to make a commitment to increase your self-esteem?” If your answer is yes, here are 12 steps to get you started -
Step One - Stop comparing yourself with other people. There will always be some people who have more than you and some who have less. If you play the comparison game, you’ll run into too many “opponents” you can’t defeat.
Step Two - Stop putting yourself down. You can’t develop high self-esteem if you repeat negative phrases about yourself and your abilities. Whether speaking about your appearances, your career, your relationships, your financial situation, or any other aspects of your life, avoid self-deprecating comments.
Step Three - Accept all compliments with “thank you.” Ever received a compliment and replied,” Oh, it was nothing.” When you reject a compliment, the message you give yourself is that you are not worthy of praise. Respond to all compliments with a simple Thank You.”
Step Four - Use affirmations to enhance your self-esteem. On the back of a business card or small index card, write out a statement such as “I like and accept my self.” or “I am valuable, lovable person and deserve the best in life.” Carry the card with you. Repeat the statement several times during the day, especially at night before going to bed and after getting up in the morning. Whenever you say the affirmation, allow yourself to experience positive feelings about your statement.
Step Five - Take advantage of workshops, books and cassette tape programs on self-esteem. Whatever material you allow to dominate mind will eventually take root and affect your behavior. If you watch negative television programs or read newspaper reports of murders and business rip off; you will grow cynical and pessimistic. Similarly, if you read books or listen to programs, that are positive in nature, you will take on these characteristics.
Step Six - Associate with positive, supportive people. When you are surrounded by negative people who constantly put you and your ideas down, your self-esteem is lowered. On the other hand, when you are accepted and encouraged, you feel better about yourself in the best possible environment to raise your self-esteem.
Step Seven - Make a list of your past successes. This doesn’t necessarily have to consist of monumental accomplishments. It can include your “minor victories,” like learning to skate, graduating from high school, receiving an award or promotion, reaching a business goal, etc. Read this list often. While reviewing it, close your eyes and recreate the feelings of satisfaction and joy you experienced when you first attained each success.
Step Eight - Make a list of your positive qualities. Are you honest? Unselfish? Helpful? Creative? Be generous with yourself and write down at least 20 positive qualities. Again, it’s important to review this list often. Most people dwell on their inadequacies and then wonder why their life isn’t working out. Start focusing on your positive traits and you’ll stand a much better chance of achieving what you wish to achieve.
Step Nine - Start giving more. I’m not talking about money. Rather, I mean that you must begin to give more of yourself to those around your. When you do things for others, you are making a positive contribution and you begin to feel more valuable, which, in turn, lifts your spirits and raises your own self-esteem.
Step Ten - Get involved in work and activities you love. It’s hard to feel good about yourself if your days are spent in work you despise. Self-esteem flourishes when you are engaged in work and activities that you enjoy and make you feel valuable. Even if you can’t explore alternative career options at the present time, you can still devote leisure time to hobbies and activities, which you find stimulating and enjoyable.
Step Eleven - Be true to yourself. Live your own life - not the life others have decided is best for you. You’ll never gain your own respect and feel good about yourself if you aren’t leading the life you want to lead. If you’re making decisions based on getting approval from friends and relatives, you aren’t being true to yourself and your self-esteem is lowered.
Step Twelve - Take action! You won’t develop high self-esteem if you sit on the sidelines and back away from challenges. When you take action - regardless of the ensuing result - you feel better about yourself. When you fail to move forward because of fear and anxiety, you’ll be frustrated and unhappy - and you will undoubtedly deal a damaging blow to your self-esteem. The “real you” is a magnificent, unique being with enormous potential and capacity for experiencing love of yourself and extending love to others. As your self-esteem grows, this “real you” emerges. You begin to take more risks and not be afraid of failure; you aren’t as concerned with getting approval of others; your relationships are much more rewarding; you pursue activities that bring you joy and satisfaction; and you will make a positive contribution to the world. Most importantly, high self esteem brings you peace of mind .when you’re alone, you truly appreciate the person you’re with - yourself.

Scene from a typical Indian movie: A demure lady is enjoying dinner with the rest of the family. Suddenly, she cups her mouth and rushes to the bathroom where she empties the contents of her stomach.
All the faces around her explode into big grins. The family doctor is immediately summoned. He checks the lady’s pulse and pronounces, “Mub@rak ho, tum maa banne waali ho (Congratulations! You are going to be a mother).” Don’t you wish it were that simple in real life! Unfortunately, no doctor in the world can tell if you are pregnant by merely checking your pulse. But you might be able to recognise one of these five early signs of pregnancy.
-
A missed period -
This might be one of the first signs of pregnancy you actually notice. If you have regular cycles you may be able to detect that you are pregnant when you miss your period. This is one of the most reliable signs of being pregnant.
Scientific basis: A period occurs when the body stops producing progesterone (a hormone that plays a special role in the female menstrual cycle and in pregnancy) temporarily. This causes the uterus to shed its lining. When you become pregnant your body starts producing a lot of progesterone to sustain the baby. There is no progesterone withdrawal and no period. Period.
-
Abdominal bloating and breast tenderness -
If your periods are not very regular it might be a little tough to notice a missed period. Abdominal bloating is another sign to look out for. Dr Anjali Rajurkar, an obstetrician from Mumbai, offers this tip, “If you have been trying to get pregnant and your jeans suddenly feel snug check if you are exhibiting other signs of pregnancy”. Further, you might notice that your breasts have suddenly turned sore and sensitive.
Scientific basis: Both abdominal bloating and breast tenderness result from the high levels of hormones your body starts producing when you become pregnant.
-
Fatigue and sleepiness -
You just woke up and had a cup of coffee. But you can’t wait to go back to bed again. You feel tired all the time. Well, most pregnant women experience a high degree of fatigue and sleepiness in their first trimester.
Scientific basis: No one knows for sure why this happens. But experts believe that the high levels of progesterone in your body might be responsible for this feeling of exhaustion.
-
Nausea and vomiting -
Finally! And you thought we would never mention it.
For some women nausea is one of the first symptoms of pregnancy. They start feeling unusually queasy and certain odours become very repulsive. Though the nausea and vomiting you experience in the first trimester of pregnancy is called morning sickness, it could occur at any time of the day. It is often triggered by meals. But if you do not have any nausea during the first trimester, do not panic. You might be one of the lucky few who escapes this ordeal entirely.
Scientific basis: Again, blame it on your hormones. Experts believe that high levels of human chorionic gonadotropin, a hormone vital for the sustenance of pregnancy, causes morning sickness.
-
Bleeding -
Some women experience a small amount of vaginal bleeding when they become pregnant. When the fetus implants itself on the wall of the uterus this can happen. The bleeding is extremely light and might last a couple of days. In any case, if you spot vaginal bleeding, contact your obstetrician to rule out other causes.
Should you take a test?
The five signs detailed above are physical signs or symptoms. It is important to remember that some women might not experience many of the early symptoms of pregnancy, except for the missed period. You need not wait to experience all these symptoms before you take a pregnancy test. If you have been trying to conceive and you feel a couple of the above symptoms you could try taking a pregnancy test.
A word of caution: Over eagerness to get pregnant might make you take the tests too often leading to frequent disappointments if they turn out negative. It is natural to be curious but try and wait for a few signs before you turn to the test.
The pregnancy test -
A home pregnancy test is one of the easier ways to test if you are pregnant. These kits are available over the counter at most medical stores. The directions are clear and easy to follow. The test takes two minutes and is pretty reliable too. All it requires is a drop of urine.
If your test is positive it might be a good idea to repeat the test with your nearest lab and then schedule an appointment with your obstetrician.
If it is negative, remember that the test is not highly sensitive and might become positive only a week after the missed period. So if you have not had a missed period perform the test after you do.

This is the hardest question that anyone has to answer when they are about to embark on their eBay selling adventure.
You’ve tried selling a few bits and bobs from around the house which you have been meaning to sell at a car boot for ages, you’ve sold those old books and cd’s that you never really liked anywhere and you’ve managed to get rid of those old unwanted presents.
Now what do you do? You’ve got the bug, you want to make some extra cash but what do I sell? Well you need to ask yourselves a few questions first.
1. Is there something you are really interested in or a particular hobby you enjoy?
It is always easier to begin your eBay selling adventure when you have an interest in the particular product you are trying to sell. You are much more likely to be enthusiastic about the product, you will have some knowledge already about your product and this will come across in your listings but you will also have a good idea of what products people might be interested in.
2. Are you able to store stock at home?
This is a key question to answer if you are about to start eBay selling. You need somewhere safe and dry to store your stock before you are able to sell it and don’t forget some articles can be quite big or heavy. If you don’t want to hold stock then you can consider selling electronic articles such as ebooks or use the services of a dropshipper but the latter does mean you will be sharing your profits with another party and will need to rely on them to provide a good service on your behalf which is critical to being successful on eBay.
3. Little and often or big and occasional?
What I mean here is do you want to be going down to the post office every day, which you surely will have to do when you start eBay selling, taking lots of packages which are making you a few pounds or dollars each time. Here I am thinking of items such as CD’s or small items of costume jewellery for example. Or, do you want to sell bigger ticket items where you sell fewer items but make more profit when they sell, maybe sets of golf clubs if that is your interest for example.
4. Can you source the items?
Perhaps rather obvious but are you able to get hold of the items you want to sell, at a reasonable price, so you can make a good profit after allowing for listing fees, Paypal fees, final value fees and postage & packaging.
5. What sells on eBay?
There are two schools of thought here. First that you try and find a product a product that is not already for sale on eBay, this idea has a lot of potential upside but perhaps the more difficult option when beginning eBay selling. The second option is to find a product category that is popular and that you know the items will sell on eBay.
So how do you find out what sells on eBay? Easy! EBay will help you with this by using eBay Pulse. To find eBay Pulse go to eBay, click on site map and down the left hand side of the page, under more ways to find items, you will see eBay Pulse. Click on it and it will take you to Pulse.
From here you can see the most popular searches, which you can break down into each item category, largest shops, most watched items, popular products and highest priced items. With all that information to be working with I am sure you will be able to find just the right product to get your eBay selling of to a flying start.

“If am destined to be as big as Britney I will be. If not, I will not.” -Joss Stone

Joscelyn Eve Stoker was born on April 11, 1987, in the pastoral country of Dover, England. She spent her teen years in the rural town of Devon, where she bought her first album, Aretha Franklin’s Greatest Hits, which inspired her to become a singer. At the age of 14, she auditioned for a popular BBC show, Star for a Night.
Therein, Joscelyn thought that she could do better than the indistinguishable flock of pop star wannabes, who were mangling the popular classics. Once onstage, the audience expected another squeaky blonde cutie to sort of entertain them; but out of this giggly teenager came a vocal reincarnation of Gladys Knight rolled up with Janis Joplin and a dash of Dusty Springfield, as she performed Aretha Franklin’s classic “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman.” She was signed to an agent right away.

Anticipating her impending career as a singer, Joscelyn and her mother, Wendy, changed her name to the catchier and sultrier Joss Stone. They then flew to New York to meet with Steve Greenberg, CEO of S-Curve Records (known for popularizing Hanson and the Baha Men’s “Who Let the Dogs Out”).
Entranced by her soulful power, Greenberg signed her on and hired Miami soul legend Betty Wright to refine her singing. Greenberg and Wright teamed her up with a Miami soul dream team, including guitarist Little Beaver, organist Timmy Thomas and keyboardist Latimore. In just four days they recorded a suite of lost soul gems and a cover of The White Stripes’ “Fell In Love With a Girl” (renamed “Fell In Love With a Boy”) with hip-hop heavyweights The Roots.

The result was her debut album, The Soul Sessions, which came out on September 16, 2003, to the delight of critics and to the horror or Britney and her candy-pop cohorts.
Joss’ mother manages the young diva’s shows and tours. In her very short career, she has performed at such noted venues as Joe’s Pub in New York and The Troubadour in Los Angeles. She has also appeared on the Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn, Ellen, and in People magazine. She even finished a tour in which she opened for Simply Red; Chicago’s House of Blues was among the venues.
joss stone, mind, body & soul
Practically a year after her debut release, Joss’ followup album Mind, Body & Soul proved that Joss could take on original music. Hits like “Right To Be Wrong” and “You Had Me” enjoyed radio play, and she even contributed to the Alfie soundtrack in 2004, with the songs “Wicked Time” (featuring Mick Jagger) and a cover of the title track.

Getting an affordable auto insurance quote doesn’t have to be difficult. With a little bit of planning and time, it can happen. Find out what you can do to save.
Shopping for car insurance can be one of the most irritating experiences in modern life. Insuring your car can be extremely expensive, especially on a fixed or limited income, but it is necessary in most states to legally operate a vehicle.
Automotive fuel costs have fluctuated radically in the recent past, and became a serious burden for many families. For most families-especially families with more than one car-the need to cut back in other areas leads to shopping around in other areas to control costs.
While you can’t bring down the price of gas, you can do something to reduce your car insurance costs.
Car insurance rates are a reflection of the perceived risk the insurance company takes on when it insures you. If the company sees your risks as higher, then the insurance premium will be higher. If the company sees the risks of insuring you as lower, then this also will reflect in your car insurance premium.
Reducing your insurance premiums is all about doing things to demonstrate that the risk when insuring your car is low.
Tips To Reducing Car Insurance Costs:
. One of the first things insurance companies look for when it comes to assessing your premium is the type of car you drive. Fair or not, different types of cars mean different levels of insurance premiums. The reasoning behind this comes down to the statistics. Different types of cars attract different types of people with different types of risks.
Sports cars, for example, will usually be involved in more accidents than the family minivan. Sports cars are also more likely to be stolen, which also raises insurance premiums.
Your insurance agent can let you know which cars are cheaper, and which are more expensive, to insure. Make sure to consult with your insurance agent when you’re in the market for a new car. The right car can lower insurance rates by hundreds of dollars!
. Always look online for a competitive quote. Most of the major players and brokers are represented online and it is extremely competitive. It is very easy to get an online quote, just go to Google and search for car insurance quote and start looking.
. Safety and anti-theft devices can reduce insurance costs. Talk to your insurance company and find out if there are any safety or anti-theft devices you can install to reduce your premium. Then consider installing them making sure that you notify your insurance company once you have done so. And why not ring up your company and make sure that they are aware of any safety and anti theft devices you already have.
. Have a look at other insurance policies you have with other companies. Many insurers offer discounts for combining all your family insurance with their company. Find out who they are and get a quote on all your policies combined.
These tips are not the end. There are many more ways to lower your insurance premiums. It just takes a few minutes and can save you hundreds. But if you do not shop around, you will not be able to find cheaper insurance.

“We’re allowed to find ourselves in our performance, do what’s truthful for each of us. I own each move.” -Nicole Scherzinger, on the Pussycat Dolls.
biography
|
 |
Nicole Elikolani Prescovia Scherzinger was born on June 29, 1978, in Honolulu, Hawaii. She is of Hawaiian, Filipina and Russian descent, and comes from a large family of entertainers — her mother, Rosemary, was a professional hula dancer, and her grandmother was a respected Mariachi singer.
When Nicole was just 6 years old, her military father was transferred to Louisville, Kentucky, where she began attending performing arts schools, pursuing an education that would persist throughout her adolescence. As a teenager, she was the first runner-up at the 1996 Kentucky State Fair’s Coca-Cola Talent Classic contest, and she appeared in several plays at Louisville’s Actors Theater.

Nicole attended Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, where she majored in Theater and minored in Dance. After appearing in every play put on by the school’s theater troupe, Nicole realized that she wanted to spend the rest of her life working as a performer. She made money on the side by working as a model and appearing in several local ad campaigns.
It was during her time at Wright State that Nicole was contacted by Travis Meeks, the lead singer of Louisville-based band Days of the New. Meeks wanted her to perform on a few songs with the group, and she agreed — a decision that forced her to drop out of school for a short period. After recording several demos with Meeks, Nicole returned to Wright State, but it wasn’t long before she was asked to record an entire album’s worth of material and even go on tour.

Nicole’s stint with Days of the New didn’t last too long, however; in 2000, Nicole went back home and began working on her own songs and demos. It was around that time that she learned of Popstars, a television show on the WB network in which aspiring singers competed to be named members of a new band. Nicole was named a member and the band, Eden’s Crush, became an instant success. Their 2001 debut hit high on the charts (thanks mostly to the infectious, “Get Over Yourself”) and the resulting tour paired the group with such acts as Jessica Simpson and ‘N Sync.
Eden’s Crush stayed together for about a year, and Nicole began focusing on her solo career and trying her hand at acting (appearing in the 2003 movies Love Don’t Cost a Thing and Chasing Papi). In 2003, a friend told Nicole about a casting call for a new band called the Pussycat Dolls, and even though she missed the auditions, she was allowed to drop by and perform for the executives in charge. They were so impressed with Nicole’s stage presence and vocals that they opened discussions with her immediately about joining the band as lead singer.

After a series of performances on shows such as The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Jimmy Kimmel Live, Nicole and the Pussycat Dolls began work on their debut album. PCD was released in September 2005 to critical and financial acclaim. As for Nicole’s private life, she prefers to stay out of the limelight — doubtless a difficult task during her brief engagement to Nick Hexum, the lead singer of 311.

Sometimes, our dreams and desires cost us quite dear, especially when we forget to put leashes on them. There is an abundance of sources of easy credit around us that makes it really difficult for people to resist the temptation surrendering to the dreams and desires. Credit cards have nearly invaded our financial lives. They are usually termed as ‘plastic money’ as they can be used in place of ‘money’ to purchase various things “on credit”. The allure of credit card is difficult to resist.
Personal loans are also quite easily available in the UK loan market. So, personal loans sell like hot cakes among the Brits. What people fail to see beyond the gleam of these easy sources of finance is the latent financial trouble (when these credit sources are used indiscriminately) that may arise in future.
Credit cards and unsecured personal loans carry a high rate of interest on them. Nowadays, it is commonly seen that people keep as much as 4-5 credit cards with them. In addition, there may be a few personal loans existing against their names. Managing multiple debts is not easy. There are many instances when people miss repayments of one or more debts as they are unable to keep track of so many repayments. In addition, too many high-interest debts drain a large chunk of the income of a person.
So, it is essential to streamline your debt situation before it goes out of control. Debt consolidation is quite effective in helping a person to reduce his/her debt burden. Debt consolidation loans can be used to merge all the pending debts into a single loan.
Cheap debt consolidation loans are devised with the purpose of enabling people to replace their costly debts with a single cheap consolidation loan. The cost of a particular loan product not only depends upon the quoted interest rate but also upon the various other costs, fees and penalty charges associated with the loan product. The overall cost of these loans is comparatively lower as compared to the other types of debt consolidation loans in the market.
So, do not let your hard-earned money get drained in repaying costly debts. Switch to debt consolidation loans and repay your pending debts without feeling the pinch.

It would be safe to say that you would have probably entertained the question of how to get promoted even before you graduated or left school. In my chats with juniors from my industry, I am often asked this question which I gladly answer. However, I sense they simply want short cuts to the next level.
These experiences pushed me to pen these 9 obvious but often not practiced tips on how to get promoted. Start internalizing these tips and make them part of your career plan. Before you know it, you would have moved up to the next level.
One main reason for people to ignore these obvious practices on how to get promoted is because they seem very long term. But they are not at all. All you need to do is to consistently DO them. I have broken them down to 3 main sections: Plan, Attitude and Action.
PLAN
1. Where Are You and Why Are You There?
How to get promoted? First you will need to have a reference point. Ask yourself, where are you now? And why are you there? Is there any key strength that has brought you where you are now that you can continue to leverage for the next promotion? Are there any weaknesses that you really need to correct before the next promotion is possible? These questions, while simple are strategic. It allows you to check your strengths and weaknesses. It forces you to access what has worked and what will work to get you promoted.
2. Where Do You Want To Be and How Do You Get There?
You obviously need to have an objective and a plan. Just saying that you want to get promoted is not enough. You need to be clear on your next position. Is it a promotion to a different department or a different branch? Write this down.
Now that you have written this down, how do you plan to get that promotion? Develop a plan for to achieve that objective. If you are lucky, you can even work this out with your immediate boss. Most bosses do not promise that promotion at such discussions but at the very least you get an idea of what are the expectations.
ATTITUDE
3. Put Pride, Passion and Belief In Everything You Do
People who get promoted are those that have a sense of pride in their work. And they take pride in their work. They are driven by genuine enthusiasm and desire to do their best no matter how small the job. They believe in themselves and they believe in the bigger goals of their unit or department and company. How to get promoted? Ask yourself; do you conduct yourself with pride, passion and belief?
4. Back it Up with Skills/Knowledge, Direction and Action
Having pride, passion and belief is only part of how to get promoted. It must be backed up skills and knowledge. That means having the necessary skills and knowledge to do a superb job. Having a direction is important to guide that energy generated by your passion. Otherwise, effort is wasted. Without action which is the actual completion of the task, all else is academic. You will be judged by what you do.
5. See Challenges As Opportunities
Another obvious tip on how to get promoted is to see challenges as opportunities. Very often I see young executives being thrown challenging assignments, which they choose to see as an additional chore. If you want to be promoted, look at challenges as opportunities to shine. Do not complain about hard work, how hard you worked or if your assignment is tougher than your colleagues’. Trust me, no one wants to know how hard you work. In everyone’s mind, their own work is the hardest.
ACTION
6. What Is Your Part?
Know your part and play your part. What is your role? Are you an implementer? Or are you a leader? Know exactly what you need to do in order for your unit to achieve its goals. Knowing your part means being a team player. No one can succeed without help from others. We all need the support of colleagues. When the team succeeds, you succeed too.
7. Do Your Best NOW
I consider this as one of the most important tip on how to get promoted. Do your best NOW.Today. This week’s tasks and projects. Do not bask in the glory of your previous work. That is gone. In all likelihood, no one else cares about it especially your bosses. Do not think too much about future projects that are not implemented yet. That is in the future. It is not here yet. Focus on DOING your best NOW. It determines how you are being judged. When you reflect too much on the past and think too much about the future, you forget to focus on the NOW.
8. Do More Than Necessary
If you want to know how to get promoted, do more than the necessary. That means volunteering for work and taking the initiative to make a job better. It also means not sitting around waiting for work to come to you. Bosses like people who can help them solve problems. Even if the problem is not yours, but if you feel you can be of help and have the expertise to solve it, then volunteer to help. You become the team’s competitive advantage when you do that. And bosses like people who give their unit an advantage over the others. Helping your team stay ahead is then helping you stay ahead too.
9. Do Work from The Next Level Up
If you continue doing work for your current position then you truly deserve your current position. People who know how to get promoted know that if you want the position next level up, you start doing some of those work from that level now. If you are a senior executive now, do some work that is only expected of an assistant manager (assuming that is the next level up). This allows you to demonstrate that you are capable of that position already.
Obviously, there are zillions of tips out there on how to get promoted. These are some of those that I deem to be obvious and not practiced enough by career success seeking newbies. Putting these into practice would greatly increase your chances of a promotion.

A talented South Korean actress who first made a name for herself throughout Asia with a powerful performance in director Kang Je-gyu’s ultra-stylish, heart-stopping action film Shiri, Kim Yun-jin soon found her popularity in her native country spilling over into the U.S. when she was cast as the survivor of a horrific plane crash in the hit ABC series Lost in 2004.
Born in South Korea and raised in the United States, Kim enrolled in her school’s drama club in the seventh grade. Though the bright lights simply prove too intimidating to some, the bilingual but somewhat shy young actress felt strangely at home in front of an audience.
In the years that followed her initial exposure to the stage, Kim refined her talents at both New York’s High School of the Performing Arts and later at the University of Boston. Upon graduation, Kim wasted no time in taking to the New York stage until a phone call from a friend in Korea led her to a temporary job as a film location manager in 1996.
It didn’t take long for Kim to catch the eye of the producers who were working on the project, and after being quickly cast in a role originally intended for another Korean actress, her career began to accelerate. Proving her abilities with a series of supporting roles on television in the following months, Kim received her breakthrough when cast in a pivotal role in the wildly successful South Korean action film Shiri.
In addition to making the actress a household name in her native land, Shiri surpassed even Titanic at the Korean box office and found international success throughout Asia before eventually arriving on American shores.
A series of high-profile roles in such profitable South Korean features as Iron Palm and Yesterday were quick to follow, and after appearing in the 2002 Hong Kong drama Milae, Kim returned stateside to essay the role as one half of a South Korean couple whose airplane crash lands them on a mysterious island in Lost. “It’s a huge move for me to be going solo, but I’m looking forward to the challenge. It’s also quite nerve-racking having been surrounded by six friends for four years, but I love the new single and other material I’ve been working on and we’re all very supportive of each other.” - Rachel Stevens
Biography
Mark April 9th down on your calendar, for this is the day you should observe a very important celebration: Rachel Lauren Stevens’ birthday, of course. Born in 1978 in London, England, she showed a flair for entertaining even as a toddler. At 5 years old, she had already begun drama school, but gravitated toward fashion as the years wore on. An early highlight came at the age of 15, when she beat out 4999 competitors in a modeling competition sponsored by Just 17 magazine.
music all the way
After attending the London School of Fashion and working in PR, Stevens changed her mind, and gravitated toward a career in music instead — she had always displayed a real talent for singing. An audition for a new British pop band came up, and, after several cuts and callbacks, Stevens was selected as one of the seven members of the band, joining Bradley McIntosh, Hannah Spearritt, Paul Cattermole, Jon Lee, Jo O’Meara, and Tina Barrett.
Called S Club 7, the group and its managers at Polydor Records aimed to find a niche in the very convoluted UK pop market. They did this by marketing an array of both fast-paced tracks and ballads while simultaneously working on a TV deal.
lucky 7
Fame was almost immediate for this group of talented twenty-somethings, as their first single “Bring It All Back” debuted at No. 1 on the UK charts in June of 1999. “S Club Party” followed up as their No. 2 hit in September, and their self-titled album sold like hotcakes on the strength of these hits. Their success spurned the debut of their popular TV series S Club 7 in Miami. The winter ushered in the song “Two In A Million” and, of course, more success.
Though at times restrained in the group’s wholesome, teeny-bopper image, Stevens reveled in the spotlight and received most of the media attention as the band’s hottest member. More flattering comments came after Interscope Records picked up the band’s American distribution rights in 2000, and released the band’s albums across the ocean. Always working on — and writing — new songs, 7 saw their fan base grow with two more hits in the spring: “Don’t Stop Movin’” and “Never Had a Dream Come True.”
in da club
Despite some trials and tribulations, including a controversy over a marijuana possession charge implicating the three male members of S Club, the band, and Stevens in particular, continued to soar. Another season of their show was filmed in 2000 and, the following year, readers of FHM voted Stevens the second sexiest woman on the planet, behind only the heavenly Jennifer Lopez. Other magazines, such as Arena, also concentrated on this beauty’s natural assets around the same time.
The same accolades from FHM were laid upon Stevens the following year, but she seemed to be the only rising star among her peers at this point. S Club 7’s output had deteriorated a little, though they could still hold claim to selling 13 million tracks and records overall. The show S Club in Hollywood did not have the same effect as its predecessor and things were lackluster. Paul Cattermole left the band, and for a while, the six remaining members stayed afloat as S Club, even filming a relatively successful movie together, called S Club Seeing Double, in 2003.
flying solo
After a UK tour in 2003, S Club decided to break up. Stevens alone managed to garner a lot of coverage thanks to an upcoming movie feature, Suzie Gold with Summer Phoenix, and the announcement of her engagement to boyfriend Jeremy Edwards (sorry fellas). Polydor jumped at the chance to harness this talent (and potential pop diva) and signed Stevens to just under a $1.6 million US contract, good for four albums. The first effort, Funky Dory, will be released in September 2003 and many are convinced that a solo star is in the making. We sure hope so, since seeing her face in the music headlines every day would really help us get up in the morning…

Are you considering VOIP for your Home? Then you need to read “VOIP at Home: is it for you?” VoIP may revolutionize your commincations, if you make a lot of long distance calls, VoIP could save you money.
VOIP AT HOME
What is VoIP?
Chances are you’ve heard of VoIP, or “voice over Internet.” If not, you will soon, as major phone companies are now trying to get in on the action. Why? VoIP allows users to make phone calls using their high-speed Internet connection. This essentially translates into “free” long distance, or, depending on set-up, unlimited long distance for a low set price for the service. When using VoIP, the traditional phone company is left completely out of the loop–literally. The concept is much the same as email; for the price of an Internet connection and provider, you can send unlimited email messages.
VoIP Pros
VoIP is an affordable method for long distance calling, and depending on where you live, you may be able to transfer you current phone number to a VoIP system. VoIP is easy to use, and depending on the service and method you choose, installation can be as easy as downloading software or attaching an adaptor to your computer. For the most part, sounds exactly the same as with a traditional telephone line. If you are using VoIP and the other person is not, they will not know the difference.
VoIP Cons
Some areas do not yet have this availability, but it is still possible to transfer long distance only to VoIP–it just means that you’ll have a separate number for long distance calling. This may be a slight inconvenience, but the savings may offset the cost–it all depends on your needs. Also, some users report hearing an echo when using VoIP. There can also be a slight delay at the beginning of the call.
One primary issue regarding VoIP is the ability to dial out for emergencies. Some providers work to place 911 calls (by configuring your service), and some do not. If you will be replacing your landline or mobile completely with VoIP, this is something you will want to research before choosing a provider and service.
Is VoIP Right for Me?
Deciding to choose VoIP depends on your needs. If you make a large number of long distance calls, it may be well worth looking into. VoIP services are often much less expensive than traditional providers. When comparing VoIP to cell phone programs, it again depends on needs. Most VoIP packages are considerably less than cell phone unlimited calling plans, but of course, VoIP is not as flexible (yet) as far as portability and other features you may not want to give up on your cell plan.
How Do I Get Set-up for VoIP?
Technical requirements for VoIP depend on the service and method you choose to use. There are three types of VoIP options.
• ATA stands for analog telephone adaptor, and it’s very simple to use. You connect it to your computer or Internet connection, plug in a regular phone, and you’re ready to go! Providers such as Vonage and AT&T CallAdvantage use this option.
• IP phones are special phones that look like traditional phones, but they connect with an Ethernet connector. A similar phone in the works is one that operates with Wi-Fi, which means that when you take your laptop to the local coffee bar to access wireless Internet, you could also make a long distance call.
• Computer-to-computer is an easy way to use VoIP and long distance calls are free; you only pay for the software. To use this method, you will need to download and install the software and be equipped with a microphone, speakers, a sound card and a high-speed Internet connection such as DSL or cable. Aside from the software, the only fees are those for your monthly ISP.
You’ll need a high-speed Internet connection to use VoIP, such as DSL or Cable.
Most VoIP options are easy to install. Providers of ATA, for example, will usually send you the adaptor you need when you sign up for the service. If you have a standard Internet set-up, you should be able to easily install the adaptor and software yourself, and be on your way. The process is very simple and straightforward, and once installed, the service is immediate (no waiting 3-5 business days for your phone service!). Connecting an IP phone is equally easy, and computer-to-computer simply requires the downloading and installing of software.

Ways for a kid to make money describes a fabulous way to get paid for what you like doing. It needs no salesmanship at all. That’s right, you don’t have to struggle to persuade people to buy something. They come to you and the computer works out how much to pay you.
One of the ways for a kid to make money. Can a kid make money by writing essays? Yes!
After 2 years perhaps more than many adults are earning.
————–
Teen Handicaps
————–
* no experience of life
* no money
* need time for homework, sport and friends.
—————
Teen Advantages
—————
* It’s not true that you’ve no experience. You’ve a lot of school experience.
* You have a lot more energy to bring to the task than many adults have.
* You can get help. Your English teacher will be delighted to help you with writing essays.
* Parents can pay for ways for a kid to make money. Get their promise to get you started if you get top marks for ten essays. You’ll soon write top essays with my free report.
* Time for 2 essays/week
—————
No Salesmanship
—————
Your ways for a kid to make money must not need salesmanship. As a salesperson you wouldn’t be looking for ideas - you’d already be making money.
——————–
You really can do it
——————–
How do I know? A teenage girl is making money with this idea just writing essays about her holidays. One of the ways for a kid to make money is here http://case-studies.sitesell.com/buildwebprofit.html#NORI. Notice that her income is still growing. She didn’t get rich immediately.
You don’t need to know anything about making a web site. The package that Nori uses does all the technical stuff for you. So there’s no excuse… you concentrate on ways for a kid to make money with essays.
———————————–
Tier 1 of ways for a kid to make money
———————————–
1 Find a demand. Choose a subject that interests you with lots of popular keywords (search terms). Free search here http://searchit.sitesell.com/buildwebprofit.html
2 Check Overture for top bids on the most popular keywords. Best if there are lots of keywords with bids over $5
3 Search Google. If there are 30 million sites competing for a keyword you aren’t quite ready to compete.
4 There is a better search tool that does steps 1 and 3 for you but it’s not free.
5 The package that Nori uses, has a search engine built in.
Just one word of warning. If you’re using Overture keyword tools and suddenly get a message saying that you’re over using it - you’ve lost the use of a tool. Other keyword tools keep changing their IP number so Overture doesn’t recognise them on their next visit.
There isn’t room here to cover all the ways that I use to discover what people want to read about.
In all ways for a kid to make money the important idea is… avoid selling. You need to sell if there is no interest. If people are interested they’ll swarm around you.
————————————————-
You want people who are interested and have money.
————————————————-
That’s why you check on the top bids. Forget a subject with 5 cent bids. Don’t stop until you find a good subject. An unpopular subject will lose you money.
—————————–
Ways for a kid to make money?
—————————–
You are ready when
* hordes visit your site
* you’ve written about 30 popular web pages.
Submit your site to Google Adsense. Once they accept you they’ll give you a code to put on your web pages.
Each time someone clicks on an Adsense advert on your page with a $5 bid, Google gets a share and you get a share. Do you see why I don’t suggest bothering with 5cent bids? You’re getting money without selling anything at all.
———————————–
Tier 2 of Ways for a Kid to Make Money
———————————–
Now continue writing more web pages, but also write free articles like this one.
Why…? What’s the point…?
* See the links at the foot of this article for free goodies? When your article excites anybody they visit your website. Thousands of visitors means thousands of people seeing your Adsense ads, which means…more money.
* You will build your reputation. Reputation is valuable for your future.
* Archive your articles on cheap website offering a sub-domain
* Modify and reuse on your web pages.
———-
Employment
———-
One day you may want a job if you haven’t chosen a subject that thrills visitors.
Reputation: your potential employer may have read some of your articles. Otherwise suggest a Google search on a unique phrase in one of your articles. If she sees that 1256 websites have copied your article will she be impressed?
Money: you can afford to wait for a better job if you’re getting money from your website.
Experience: how many of your rivals have experience handling money, keeping accounts, filling in tax forms, making a website? Very few I think!

There are many, many, opportunities online, but here are the 5 factors you really need to consider, to guarantee your success:
1. Set your goals. As with any business you need to set goals. Goals help you visualize where you want to go, and keep you motivated when you get up in the morning. You goal may be to earn $500 or $10000 a month, it may be to take that dream vacation, or it may be to give up your job. These are all great goals. It is imperative that you write them down and reread them often. You need a short term goal - e.g monthly goal, to keep you motivated from day to day and a longer term goal 1-2 years - to keep you on track and prevent you from chucking it in. I am confident that if you adopt a positive attitude and embrace your goals then you will soon be making money online.
2. Take time to research. As I alluded to earlier there are many people making money online - and there are thousands of different businesses that you can try. The internet is a mine field of information and “making money online” opportunities are not difficult to find. However you will need to decipher the genuine opportunities from the scams. Many online promises are just methods to extract money from you. Some do’s and don’ts
DON’T fall for the “get rich quick schemes” that promise huge returns in record time DO try and email or telephone for more information
DO search online for feedback on the opportunity e.g. try name of opportunity + scam
DON’T part with money without consulting a friend you can trust and/or sleeping on it.
3. Find something that you like. You’re the boss now - so do yourself a favor and choose something you enjoy. This will greatly enhance your chances of success. A few things to consider: Do you enjoy writing? Do you enjoy talking to people? Do you enjoy working on the computer? Do you have a flair for sales? Are there particular things that you are passionate about e.g sports, music? Do you want to be contactable 24×7? Do you want to have flexible/fixed hours? Personally I like to work on my computer on my own time and my choice of internet business matches this. Find out what suits you, and you can weed out the business ventures which are not for you. Don’t settle for second best - choose something you are comfortable with.
4. Find something worth your while. While it is a good idea to avoid the sales pitch that promises the sun, moon, and stars; it is also important that you don’t take the safe option - that guarantees $5 an hour for sending emails, filling our surveys, or licking stamps. These amount to you underselling yourself, because the opportunities of making money on the internet are so much greater. Look for systems which offer a good monthly return for a few hours work a day - if you find something with a residual income all the better.
5. Anything for an easier life! One of my motivations for venturing into internet marketing was to create an easier life for myself. As I sat in my day job I used to think - “There must be easier ways to make money” - and there are! Earning a living online means that you have the luxury of working from home and choosing your own hours. It is important that you can exploit these perks, by being able to take time off, take extra vacations and spend more time with your family. You need to avoid the 40-50 hours a week for the sake of your sanity.
You have taken the first step by reading this article - you now just need to act upon it. I wish you the very best in your online endeavors.

To many, the term ‘bad credit’ is the end of the world when
it comes to getting financing in the near future. However,
it doesn’t always have to be like that, you can take the
bad credit mortgage refinance option!
Mortgage refinance vs. equity finance
It is essential at the outset that you understand there is
a fundamental difference between mortgage refinancing and
equity financing. Basically, with equity financing you are
using the surplus amount you may have stored up in your
property between your outstanding mortgage amount and the appraised value of your home. However a mortgage refinance is where you find a new lender willing to lend you the whole appraised value of your property, the sum of which you then use to repay your existing mortgage lender and the remaining sum you can utilize in any manner you wish. Because of this, you are faced with a different set of problems than would be the case with an equity financing.
The pros of a bad credit mortgage refinance
Aside from any possible equity financing you can do with
your property, without doubt the biggest upside to a bad
credit mortgage refinance is the fact that it is a long-term and cheap form of borrowing. Interest rates are likely to be low and, possibly, can even be fixed. You could even possibly benefit from certain tax advantages from a bad credit mortgage refinance.
Because of this, bad credit mortgage finance can allow you
to do things financially that may not otherwise be
available to you as a person with a bad credit rating. You
could use the equity you free up after you repay your
original mortgage lender to invest in stocks and savings
that will give you a better yield than you are currently
getting on the property.
Alternatively, you could pay off all outstanding debts you
have so that you have no interest and debt payments to make each month – merely a mortgage repayment. Finally, you could even use the equity you get to invest in a long-term
investment plan like your pension. In fact the options are so limitless that you should really consult with a financial expert who can best advise you on how you should put that money to the best use for you!
The cons of bad credit mortgage refinance
The number one downside to any mortgage refinancing,
whether it be bad credit or otherwise, is the fact that
mortgage lenders do not like to be repaid early. As such
they usually incorporate some expensive penalty clauses to
try and make it not worth your while repaying them early. With this in mind, you will need to read your original mortgage agreement with your original lender very carefully to make sure you won’t have any onerous default payments to make; or, you could try and arrange for the new lender to swallow these.
That said, if you make any arrangements with the new lender
that they agree to pay these fees for you, you then need to
make sure they do not put any restrictive clauses in your
new refinance mortgage agreement that would prohibit you
from refinancing your mortgage again at some time in the
future if the occasion warrants such.
Without a doubt, as a person with a bad credit history and
bad credit rating, a bad credit mortgage refinance can open
up avenues to you that would not otherwise be there. You do,
however, need to give consideration as to whether or not you
want to take this route. Not least because at the end of the
day your house and family home is on the line!
